Topic:  Jumps - Conditioning and Incorporation

Learn more about jump conditioning to help improve your teams' jump technique and execution for the competition floor.  You will have the opportunity to see proper jump technique and understand the importance of uniformity from a judge's perspective.

Topic:  Strength and Conditioning for the Long Season

How to maximize your conditioning based on your season's timeline.  We will dive into individual conditioning based on skill level and position.

Topic:  Game Day Cheer/Competition

What to do on the sidelines for game day:  how to get the crowd involved; what works and what doesn't.  Understand how to prepare for game day:  practice set up and planning to engage the crowd.  Discussion on how to set up your program which will include season set up, setting up from Day 1 matters, and taking a look at the teams as a whole and developing that into Performance and Game Day competitions.

Working with your Athletic Director (AD) as a cheerleading or dance team coach comes with its own unique dynamics.  These programs often straddle the line between athletics and performance, so collaboration with your AD is crucial to secure resources, visibility, and support.  Some do's and don'ts for cheer and dance teams, focusing on scheduling, practice spaces, transportation, event hosting, spirt coordination, and team unity.
