Education Opportunities
Meet & Greet
This is an opportunity for coaches to come together to discuss ideas for the new cheer season. Susie Knoblauch, IHSA Cheer Administrator, will give an overview of changes for the 2025-2026 cheer season. There will be four different locations for the Meet & Greet.
For regions 1 and 2, it will be held on August 6th from 6:00-7:30pm at Oak Park & River Forest High School.
For region 3, it will be held on August 2nd from 10am-11:30am at Rockford Jefferson High School.
For region 4, it will be held on August 6th from 6:30-8:00pm at Peoria High School.
For region 5, it will be held on August 6th from 6:30-8:00pm at Carriel Junior High.

Free Fall Clinic
This is a free fall clinic offered to member schools. It will be held on Sept. 20th from 9 - 11am. Teams will work on game day chants, cheer, dance, jumps and stunts. Registration opens August 1st. If interested, go to the members only tab and sign up.
Virtual Education Zoom
This will be held on Wed. November 12 at 6:30pm and Wed. December 17 at 6:30pm. This is a Q & A zoom offered to our member school coaches. Coaches can ask any questions to ICCA board members to get ready for the season. Amber Cruser, IHSA Clinician, will be available on the Dec. 17th zoom at 7:00pm to answer any questions. Link will be available on the members only tab and will open 30 minutes before each zoom. (This will be recorded and put on the members only page)
Mentoring Program
The mentoring program is available for new member coaches or member coaches new to the competition arena. If you would like to have an experienced coach work with you and/or answer questions concerning building a cheerleading program please contact Staci Shafer by email at stacis.icca@gmail.com or by phone at 618-771-7117. Staci will pair you up with a coach or former coach in your area that will work with you to build your program.
Spring Coaches Conference
The ICCA firmly believes in utilizing the strengths of many of the State’s longest serving and most veteran individuals to better serve our member coaches and cheerleaders. Our annual Spring Coaches Conference is a highlight of the year for our members as it gives all of us the opportunity to share knowledge, tips, and resources.
